Choosing which conference is the best for women's basketball is difficult.  Year in and year out, the Big 10 makes a strong case for being the best.   Choosing which web site is best is also difficult.  This site hopes to make an equally strong case for being the best Big 10 women's basketball site on the internet.  As you read this site, you will notice that I have opinions on about everything.  You can agree or not as you choose.  Just remember that unless something is clearly factual, everything on this site is the opinion of Sharon.

Check out all the NEWS of the league as well as my opinion of the various doings on the BUZZ PAGE.

The 2004-05 season saw new teams sitting on the top of the standings.  Michigan State and Ohio State shared the championship unseating perennial powers Purdue and Penn State.  The co-champs each will return a solid core of players.  Look here for a complete REVIEW OF THE 2004 SEASON and here to see all the AWARDS that were presented by the coaches, media and this site.

With the emergence of new powers, the 2006-07 season looks to be more entertaining than usual.  It also looks to be a season that will again see the Big 10 ranked as one of the nation's very best leagues.

If you want to know what will happen during the season, check out my PREVIEW AND PREDICTION page and my PRESEASON AWARDS page.

I have added information on televised games to the schedule.  Go the the BIG 10 COMPOSITE SCHEDULE to get the television information, scores and my game by game predictions which I know you're dying to read.

Although basketball is a team game, it is a game about players.  I have EVERY PLAYER IN THE CONFERENCE along with their pictures, honors and stats.  Basketball is a game of numbers.  The MILESTONE PAGE will chronicle the special marks reached by the players and coaches.

Unfortunately, injuries are a part of the game.  There is an INJURY PAGE which will give the best available information on the bumps, bruises and torn acl's suffered by the players.

Each year players leave and players enter.  The RECRUITING PAGE lists all the players who will join the conference in 2006 and beyond.  Each year almost every team has players graduate.  Those are expected losses.  Recently there have been more and more players who leave teams with eligibility left.  Check out the PLAYERS WHO LEAVE EARLY.  When players leave, most people say what they think they should rather than what actually is true.  So I am not even going to try and guess why the players left their respective programs.

Women's basketball has officially been a part of the Big 10 since 1982.  Go to the HISTORY SECTION for the web's most extensive review of past seasons.  You will find all facts and figures from every season, all the records and the award winners.  I have also chosen an All Time Big 10 team.

More in-depth information on each team is available in their section.  You will find a detailed preview, roster and schedule with predictions.  In each team's history section you'll find records, an All-Time team, post-season history and other facts about each school.  You will not find detailed statistics of the current season on this site.  The Big 10 does an excellent job of providing stats so I have provided a link to each school's stats on the Big 10 site.  Click on the school name below to go to their section.  Since I am a Wisconsin fan, the Badger site has a bit more depth than the other schools.

Illinois Michigan State Penn State
Indiana Minnesota Purdue
Iowa Northwestern Wisconsin
Michigan Ohio State Big 10

I have a LINKS PAGE that has links to all the sites about women's basketball on the internet.  That may be a slight exaggeration, but not much of one.  I have links to all the schools, conferences, other fan sites, media sites and discussion boards.

I enjoy talking about women's basketball.  If you'd like to discuss the sports, if you have any links you think I should add, or if you want talk about anything else, please email SHARON (that's me).

Here's a couple more sites you can check out.
